DANIEL THOMAS FARLEY

Daniel Thomas Farley, 79, of Channahon, Ill,, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family October 25, 2023. A service will be held July 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip’s Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held 30 minutes before the service. Lunch will be served after the service. Daniel was born in Litchfield, the son of Thomas and Katherine Farley. On May 15, 1965, he was united in marriage to Beverly Nygaard of Grove City. He is survived by his wife Beverly of Willmar, their son Randy and his wife Kristy, their children Danny, Mason and Lacie, grandson Greg Dressel of Minnesota, and three great-grandchildren, Layla, Aaliyah

From Bible story to Broadway

The Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, 11 brothers and the coat of many colors is reimagined in Litchfield Community Theatre’s summer musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Told entirely through song with the help of a main character — Narrator (played by Alexandra Lundin, Mila Hanson and Sara Dollerschell), the musical follows favorite son Joseph (Adam Stern). After being sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, he flatters himself into the good graces of Egyptian noble Potiphar (Chris Ness), but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife.
