Stuffed with fun at the library

What are you likely to find in every toy box, diaper bag, children’s play area, and childhood bedroom? Stuffed animals! Now more commonly referred to as “stuffies,” these classic toys are great companions for kids of all ages. Like I mentioned in my last column, Bruce the bear is a very popular stuffie that kids enjoy seeking out in the children’s section. Stuffies are a fun component at the Litchfield Public Library!

The story of Joseph re-imagined

The Biblical tale of Joseph and his prized coat is an ancient one from the Old Testament, but it won’t feel and sound that way when Litchfield Community Theatre presents the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice. “It’s a popular show for audiences and multiple generations,” said Tim Nelson, director and musical director.

Hutchinson Senior Center is owned and operated by Hutchinson through its Parks, Recreation and Community Education Department. Activities for people age 55 or older are available 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Hutchinson Event Center, 1005 State Highway 15 S. For more information, call 320-234-5656. The following schedule is for July 26-Aug. 1: Friday, July 26: 9:15 a.m. chair yoga; 10 a.m. Knot Just Knitting; 1 p.m. bingo, 500 and Hutch Bowl.
