A yarn about a guilty cat

I have a beaten up old green sweater I should throw away. I can’t wear it in publicl It’s that worn out. But it’s so comfortable and cozy, I hang on to it. I mend it when the holes are too big and I cut the raveled threads dangling off the sleeves.

Find ‘Mother Bruce’ and other animal books at the library

There are so many fun and exciting things that kids can find at the library. One of the best things to find during the summer is the summer reading program mascot. This year, kids can find a little stuffed bear named Bruce. When they do, they get to pick out a sticker or a temporary tattoo. While Bruce the bear might seem random, he is pretty significant within our reading program.

2004: Watercade salutes KLFD owners

20 YEARS AGO: NEWS FROM THE ISSUE OF JULY 8, 2004 The Meeker County Board approved joining in a foreclosing action against the Litchfield Woolen Mills as a result of the firm’s default on loan payments involving the Meeker County Economic Development Authority. According to EDA Director Joe Egge, Litchfield Woolen Mills owes $232,843 on its loan, provided jointly by the Meeker EDA, Mid-Minnesota Regional Development and Southwest Minnesota Foundation.
