It is with great sadness that the Swenson family announces the passing of Kari Beth (Swenson) Oleson, 53, on September 23, 2024, at her home in Crystal. Kari was born in Seoul City, South Korea, on March 11, 1971. On June 27, 1973, she was lovingly adopted into the family as the daughter of Larry and Carol Swenson. In 1984, Kari proudly became a national citizen of the United States. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, crafting, watching Hallmark and cooking shows, and especially delighted in solving puzzles. Kari is survived by daughter Brandi (Jonathan) Blevins and newborn granddaughter Jenevieve; son Christopher Oleson; mother, Carol; brother Tim (Terri) Swenson; sister Kelly (Gary) Cornwell; nieces and nephews Trista (Dustin) Skalberg and Eric (Annaleah) Swenson; great-nieces and -nephews, Lakelyn, Paycn, Ty, Taya, and Parker.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides of the family and her father, Larry. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family invites you to please privately celebrate Kari’s memory in your own ways, knowing that she will be with us all in spirit.
