Elaine E. Lorensen, 92, of Litchfield died on Friday June 20, 2025, at Park View Senior Living in Buffalo. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday June 30, 2025, at Litchfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield. The service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com.
Elaine Evelyn Lorensen, the daughter of Adrian and Evelyn (Hutchins) Couser was born on September 19, 1932, in Litchfield. She was baptized and confirmed at Litchfield United Methodist Church. Elaine graduated from Litchfield High School in 1950 and was united in marriage to Dale Lorensen on October 11, 1952, at Litchfield United Methodist Church. Elaine was a telephone operator, wife, mother, homemaker and bookkeeper for Dale’s gas stations and a teacher’s para at Lake Ripley School. She was a member of Litchfield United Methodist Church where she was active with United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Red Hats, a Cub Scout leader and a guardian for Job’s Daughters. She enjoyed baking; especially making Christmas cookies with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed ceramics, playing cards and games with family and friends.
Elaine is survived by her children Dwight (Jeanne) Lorensen of Litchfield and Denise (Don) VanBeusekom of Delano; grandchildren Amy (Jared) Terning, Anna (David) Ramirez Lopez and Jacob VanBeusekom; great-grandchildren Gavin Terning, Mallory Terning, Hayden Terning and Oliver Ramirez Lopez; and her brother Eugene (Mary) Couser of Maple Plain, sister-in-law Lois Schultz of Litchfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Adrian and Evelyn; husband Dale; and father- and mother-in-law Einar and Eva Lorensen.
