MARGARET A. JENSRUD

 Margaret A. Jensrud, 97, of Litchfield passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Ecumen Emmaus Place in Litchfield. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, March 24, 2025, 11 a.m. at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield.

 Margaret Ann Jensrud was born on January 12, 1928, in Stephen. She was the daughter of John and Rose (Florek) Safranski Sr. Margaret was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education through the eighth grade at Schey School District 18 in Alma Township, rural Argyle.
 On August 5, 1953, Margaret was united in marriage to Ervin Jensrud. This marriage was blessed with nine children, Gary, Craig, Sandy, Linda, Ricky, David, Mary, Rebecca, and Sue. Margaret and Ervin resided in Argyle, Stranquist and Fertile, before moving to Litchfield in 1961. They shared 66 years of marriage prior to the passing of Ervin on June 4, 2020.
 Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She retired at age 65. Margaret was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield and volunteered at St. Philip’s Catholic School for many years.
 Margaret enjoyed cooking and baking. She could not wait for fall harvest to do her canning. Margaret especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

 Margaret is survived by her children, Sandy Boutain and her husband Jerry of Rosemount, Linda Arveson of Rosemount, Ricky Jensrud and his wife Teri of Morristown, Tenn., David Jensrud of Litchfield, Mary Evenson and her husband Sheldon of Grove City, Rebecca Voss and her husband Doug of Walker, Sue Schneider and her husband John of St. Cloud; 24 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
 Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Safranski Sr.; husband, Ervin Jensrud; sons, Gary and Craig Jensrud.
