IDELL KADELBACH

 Idell J. Kadelbach, 93, of Litchfield passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Ecumen of Litchfield in Litchfield. Memorial Service was Friday, September 19, 2025, 11 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield with interment in Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.

 Idell June Kadelbach was born on August 16, 1932, in Ladysmith, Wis. She was the daughter of Harold and Emma (Busse) Laidlaw. Idell was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at the Methodist church in Ladysmith. She received her education in Litchfield and was a graduate of Litchfield High School, class of 1950.
 On September 1, 1950, Idell was united in marriage to Aldeen Kadelbach at their home on the farm in Grove City. This marriage was blessed with four children, Ralph, Ila, Karla and Fred. Idell and Aldeen made their home in Litchfield. They shared 75 years of marriage.
 Idell enjoyed being at home with her children and helping Aldeen on the farm. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She was also a member of the Litchfield Eagle’s Club Auxiliary, American Legion Post 104 Auxiliary and the VFW Post 2818 Auxiliary.
 Idell loved to knit, play cards, and read. Idell enjoyed camping and hunting with her husband and children. She also volunteered her time at the nursing home working with the residents in hospice. Idell especially cherished her time spent with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She was also involved in a women’s bible study and quilting group at her church.

 Idell is survived by her husband, Aldeen Kadelbach of Litchfield; children Ralph Kadelbach and Sally of Athens, Tenn., Ila Rueckert of Litchfield, Karla Kadelbach of Litchfield, Fred Kadelbach and his wife Grayce Ann of Hastings; grandchildren, Jason (Christina) Kadelbach, Ryan (Kelly) Kadelbach, Shawn (Amy) Kadelbach, Terri (Jim) Ulrick, Glenn (Kris Oster) Rueckert, Tia (Ryan) Weseloh and Nick Campbell; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
 Idell is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Emma Laidlaw; daughters-in-law, Kathi Kadelbach and Ruby “Tony” Kadelbach; sons-in-law, Ronnie Rueckert, Dick Johanneck; brothers, Percy Laidlaw, Earl Laidlaw, Glen Laidlaw, Ralph Laidlaw, Lavern Laidlaw, and a brother in infancy; sisters, Edith Miller, Doris Forseth, Lorene Mataczynski, and a sister in infancy.
