Reno L. Stuedeman, 78, of Litchfield, formerly Norwood Young America, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Meeker Manor Rehabilitation Center in Litchfield. Funeral Service was held Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg with interment in Glencoe City Cemetery. He was the son of George and DeLila (Quade) Stuedeman. Reno was baptized as an infant at home in Fairfax on September 2, 1945, by Pastor Tibbetts and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at First Congregational Church in Glencoe on April 15, 1962, by Pastor Don Chapman. As a youth, he enjoyed spending time in the lumber yard in Fairfax. Reno received his education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School, class of 1963. He furthered his education at Hamline University in St. Paul, earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. Reno served his country in the United States National Guards for six years. He received an Honorable Discharge on July 24, 1973. On November 8, 1969, Reno was united in marriage to Linda Heine at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in St. Paul. After their marriage, the couple resided in Watertown, Norwood Young America, and Litchfield. He was employed at Fullerton Lumber Yard in Fairfax, Norwood, and Watertown, Frontier Lumber Yard in Chanhassen, CH Carpenter Lumber Yard in Victoria, and Plato Woodworking in Plato. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Doug and Brian. Reno and Linda shared 54 years of marriage. Reno was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg. He taught Sunday school and was an Elder. Reno enjoyed Olde Tyme music, dancing, playing concertina, fishing, raising steers, and spending time at his cabin. He cherished the time he spent with his wife, sons, and grandchildren. When he needed assistance with his care, Reno became a resident of Meeker Manor Rehabilitation Center in Litchfield and passed away there on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 78 years. Reno is survived by his wife, Linda (Heine) Stuedeman of 54 years; son, Douglas (Mary) Stuedeman; grandchildren, Alex Stuedeman and Cole Stuedeman; brother-in-law, Larry Hasse; niece, Krista (Darin) Riedel; great-niece, Haleigh Riedel; other relatives and many friends. Reno was preceded in death by his parents, George and Delila (Quade) Stuedeman; infant brother, Dennis Stuedeman; son, Brian Stuedeman; sister-in-law, Nancy Hasse.
