JANET I. ARETZ

Janet I. Aretz, 85, died on February 12, 2025, at Annandale Care Center. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 10, 2025, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with a reception following the service at The V in Maple Lake. Interment will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery in Maple Lake. Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

CALEB W. WILLNER

Caleb W. Willner, 47 of Milaca passed away on February 19, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home. Memorial Services will be from 12 - 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Borgholm Townhall, 16041 70th Ave., Milaca. Caleb William was born to Roger and Barbara (Kliche) Willner on June 12, 1977, in Litchfield. As a young child he was brought to the Lord in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and on May 18, 1992, he publicly professed his faith in the Rite of Confirmation becoming a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. While growing up in Litchfield with his parents and sister, Tiffany, he enjoyed fishing at Lake Ripley, playing softball, wrestling, bowling, and helping his father in the garden. In 2002 he met Dita Gillette and later they moved to Brook Park where they married on September 2, 2005. Together they had two children and then moved to the Milaca area in 2007. Caleb enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on automobiles, and helping others fix different types of small machinery. He loved to share his hunting and fishing stories with all those who would listen. Caleb went to St. Cloud Technical College for the diesel technician program and then worked for Astech Corp. Eventually he worked for North Central Utilities where he stayed until the time he was diagnosed with cancer. Caleb is survived by his wife, Dita Willner; their children, Hunter and Elizabeth Willner; his son, Ryan (MaKenzi) Willner; granddaughter, Aurora; mother, Barbara Willner, sister, Tiffany Willner; nephew, Allan; mother-in-law, Anita Lavell; father-in-law, Robert Gillette; sister-in-law, Misty Gillette; niece, Claire; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Willner; cousin, Billy Kliche; grandparents, Don and Virginia Kliche-Toutges and Herb and Grace Willner; and father-in-law, Patrick Lavell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes, Princeton.

GRACE M. KAPING

Grace M. Kaping, 93, of Litchfield died on Monday February 10, 2025, at her home. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday February 17, 2025, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Cosmos. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Interment was held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cedar Mills Township. The service was livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com. Grace M. Kaping, the daughter of Edwin and Mildred (Berlin) Swanson, was born on February 3, 1932, in Litchfield. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1950 and was united in marriage to Darrel Kaping at First Lutheran Church in rural Cosmos on January 20, 1951. Shortly after their marriage, they bought their farm in Cedar Mills Township. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran church of Cosmos. Grace was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on their dairy, crop and livestock farm. She was employed at Jennie-O and later at FingerHut and kept the books on the farm. She cooked many meals and baked many loaves of bread while raising her six children. She liked to sew, garden and read. She especially liked raising golden retrievers.

Boyd Nelson, born February 16, 1939, in Grove City, passed away peacefully at home in Faribault on February 11, 2025. Survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Pamela (Kevin), Patricia (David) and Jennifer; son, Douglas (Liz); three grandchildren, Caleb, Ava and Alaina. JUDITH “JUDY” A. PEARSON

Judith “Judy” A. Pearson, 85, of Golden Valley passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Global Point Memory Care in Golden Valley. Private Family Service was held. Judith “Judy” Ann Pearson was born on May 8, 1939, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles “Jack” and Leota (Sanders) Porath. Judy was baptized as an infant on March 24, 1940, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 13, 1952, both at Varina Methodist Church in Varina, Iowa. She was a graduate of the first Cosmos High School class of 1957, in Cosmos. On June 29, 1958, Judy was united in marriage to Robert Alfred Pearson at Cosmos Methodist Church in Cosmos. This marriage was blessed with two children, Michael and Brenda. Judy and Robert previously resided in St. Louis Park for 37 years and Waconia for 18 years. They shared 62 years of marriage prior to the passing of Robert on October 24, 2020. Judy was employed as a secretary at Cargill Leasing until her retirement. Judy was a member of Waconia Moravian Church in Waconia. She was also part of a quilting group and Meals on Wheels. Judy was devoted to her faith. She enjoyed gardening, playing piano, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Judy especially cherished time spent with her family and friends. Blessed be her memory. Judy is survived by her son, Michael Pearson of St. Louis Park; daughter, Brenda Pearson of Golden Valley; brother, Robert Porath and his wife Diane of Olivia; sister, Nancy Lundstrom and her husband Chuck of Hutchinson; many nieces and other relatives and friends. FLOYD A. NOLAN

Floyd A. Nolan, “Iron Man”, 92, of Annandale passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House. He was born on November 4, 1932, to Earl and Mary Nolan. He was married to Delores Olson on June 28, 1952. He was a lifelong resident of French Lake. He met many people after beginning French Lake Auto Parts in 1956. He loved to visit with everyone and share his love/ knowledge for cars. He never complained about his complex health issues and kept on smiling. He loved to joke with everybody right up until the end. He is survived by his wife, Delores and their seven children, Debbie (Daryl), Steve (Julie), Denise (Tim), Shawn (Shannon), Skip (Kerry), Sheldon and Sterling. Also survived by sisters, Rosie Anderson, Ruth Oster, Betty Kelly and Margie Alberg. He is also survived by ALL of his grandchildren/step-grandchildren and his many great-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
