20 YEARS AGO: NEWS FROM THE ISSUE OF MARCH 17, 2005 Meeker County Board of Commissioners approved a moratorium of up to six months on shore land residential developments to give the Planning and Zoning Commission time to scrutinize the county’s current zoning regulations. The moratorium means the county will not accept applications for rezoning land within shore land districts — within 1,000 feet of a lake or pond or 300 feet of a river or stream — for residential development.
