Litchfield Middle School recently announced its Students of the Month for November. Students are nominated by teachers and staff, whose comments about November’s Students of the Month follow:
The Quilts of Valor organization honored eight local veterans for their service to our country before the Nov. 26 meeting of the Disabled American Veterans. Each veteran received a handmade quilt. Pictured are, from left: Keith Lindemeier: served in U.S. Army 1976-1995, retired as E-7; Teresa Amberg: served in U.S. Marines 1982-2002, retired as Lt. Col.; Bill Leung: served U.S. Army 1968-1971 in Germany as E-5; Diane Jankowski: served U.S. Air Force 1983-1991 stateside as E-4; Cassandra Carrigan: served U.S. Army 2003-2024 in Iraq, retired as a captain; Darian Carrigan (husband of Cassandra): serving U.S. Army 2005-present as 1st Sgt; Brianna Lauer: served U.S. Army 2005-2017 in Afghanistan as Staff Sgt; Deleu Grams: served U.S. Army 1964-1966 in Vietnam as Spec 4; and Dave Heidebrink: served U.S. Navy in Vietnam as E-4.
Members of the Community Strings will perform a variety of music and Christmas favorites 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Dassel History Center.
Hutchinson Middle School recognized its Students of the Tri for Trimester 1. Ten students from each grade are selected by their teachers based on those who exhibit TIGER Values and Expectations.
