Two elementary schoolaged boys were talking on the playground during recess one of the first days of the new school year.The first boy complained, “If I forget to say‘Thank you’to my mom for supper, my dad sends me to my room. If I don’t do my chores when I am supposed to do them, my dad sends me to my room. If I am mean to my little sister, my dad sends me to my room. If I bring home a bad report card from school, my dad sends me to my room. If I am sassy to my grandma, my dad sends me to my room. It seems like all my dad ever does is send me to my room!”

A good start, but still ‘a long way to go,’ according to coach Rostberg “We’re 1-0, but we have a long way to go.” That’s what Hutchinson football head coach Andy Rostberg said following Thursday’s 34-6 win over Glencoe-Silver Lake in the season opener in Glencoe. The Tigers rolled overtheir old Highway 22 nemesis using their trademark rushing attack, racking up 305 yards on the ground and 365 yards of total offense.

To support full student voter participation of all eligible students, ALL IN and its Higher Education Presidents’ Council have launched a call to action for higher education presidents and chancellors to fully engage students in electoral participation.
