As little girls, they all dreamed of wearing the crown of small town royalty. On Sunday afternoon, their dreams became reality.
As their city counterparts awarded first bids for construction of the new Litchfield Area Recreation Center at a meeting across town, Litchfield School Board members spent much of their Monday meeting reviewing and debating a use agreement for the facility. Business manager Jesse Johnson reviewed a red-lined version of the agreement, which he said has been developed with the city and includes input from the Minnesota Department of Education and other state officials.
Litchfield’s construction project managers recently received the first bids on the Litchfield Area Recreation Center project. The City Council on Monday awarded the lowest of seven pre-engineered steel building bids to Nor-Son, a construction company with offices in Wayzata and Baxter, for $2,152,000.
