Litchfield falls to Hutchinson

While there haven’t been any team wins to celebrate, the Litchfield girls swimming and diving team is still finding success. That’s the message of coach Ashlynn Mattson, who said she’s seen improvement in several individual swimmers even though the Dragons have ended up on the wrong end of the final score.

Dragons see spike in numbers, experience

Litchfield looks to build on lessons from last season With lessons learned from a rocky 5-22 season a year ago, and a roster boasting 19 juniors and seniors, the Litchfield volleyball team is ready for a fresh start. And while the Dragons’ 2023 record would indicate struggles, Coach Darin Swenson says it also presents reason for optimism.

Swenson wins Maple Lake Invite

Litchfield junior August Swenson had just enough to capture first place in the Maple Lake Invitational cross country meet Friday at Robert Ney Park. Swenson ran the 5,000-meter course in 17:20.1, crossing the finish line four-hundredths of a second ahead of Rockford’s Grady Dawson (17:20.5).
