Litchfield High School graduate Tyler Warren raced to an easy win in the Watercade 4-mile run Saturday. Warren’s time of 20:26.9 put him more than two minutes ahead of last year’s winner, LHS junior August Swenson, who finished in 22:39.9.
Litchfield Blues picked up a pair of big North Star League wins last week, which helped them avoid the Region 12C play-in tournament. Litchfield’s 11-3 win over Howard Lake Friday at Optimist Park sealed the Blues’ playoff standing, ensuring they will finish no lower than seventh in the league.
One week after putting up double figure runs in backto- back games, the Litchfield Blues’ bats went silent in a 6-0 loss to Dassel-Cokato Sunday at Optimist Park. The loss prevented the Blues from strengthening their hold on fourth place in the North Star League.
